Go into the world
and do well. But
more importantly, go
into the world and
do good. "
~Minor Myers, Jr.
Graduation is a special time in a person' s life. It represents the
culmination of hard work, dedication, and academic achievement.
Graduation for a First-Generation college student is even more
than that. Earning your college degree means you are changing not
only the traj ectory of your life, but the lives of your future
generations. You paved the way for your children, grandchildren,
and great-grandchildren to improve their lives and, in turn, the
lives of others. That, my dears, is no small accomplishment.
My hope is that you will look back and remember your time at EKU
fondly, and that your memories with NOVA are among some of
your favorites. I wish for you a life of happiness and health, never
forgetting where you came from and always looking to the bright,
beautiful path ahead. The NOVA Team is so proud of you, and we
are honored to have been a small part of your j ourney. Once a
NOVA, always a NOVA!
